Francisco Nogues passed away the morning of November 14th, 2020. He was 94.
He was born in Cuba in 1926 and lived near the city of Santiago de Cuba in the town of El Crucero. In 1965, he took his family to Spain for a short time due to communism before settling in Newark, NJ, for the remainder of his life with his wife and children where he worked as a mechanic in the Longshoremen's Union at Port Elizabeth/Newark. He loved this country and was always very grateful for the opportunities he was given here.
He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather, always providing for the family. He enjoyed family gatherings and chitchatting with friends. He was adored for his generosity by many and gave freely to those in need. He was funny and quick-witted. He enjoyed fixing things and being outside - tending the rose bushes and feeding the birds was his pastime of late. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Francisco is survived by his wife, Amparo Nogues, his children Mayra Nogues, Tania Sendros and Frank Nogues, and 4 grandchildren.
